Try to get something in the Southdowns/Garden District Area, it’s close to LSU and they have a cool strip of bars and places to eat down Perkins RD.

North Baton Rouge. Liveliest neighborhoods; never a dull moment.

My reccomendation is garden district and bring your bike. Ride to the library lock your bike up and tailgate. It is the best way to do gameday

Anywhere above Florida Blvd and you should have a great time.
But really, Garden District or Southdowns. Both you could walk to campus from. I mean its not an ideal walk, about 30 min, but I've done them both before. Or you can just uber, or drive, much easier.

In all seriousness:
Tier 1 (ideal)
Garden District
Southdowns
Burbank/Nicholson/Highland Rd [slightly south of campus]
Tier 2 (acceptable)
Perkins Rd
Downtown
Mid-City

Tigerland.
Close to campus, close to all the bars.
