Allright ladies and gentlemen, Is this thing gonna affect Savannah or what? Spaghetti models have this thing going to Rhode island and also Savannah. Do we have a GSB spaghetti model?

Best case, just some strong wind gusts and downpours, no big deal.
Worst case is direct hit by cat5 that wipes Savannah off the map and fallout from Vogel upriver makes it uninhabitable for 62,000 years.

Growing up I learned what whenever a Savannah landing is predicted, it means NC is gonna get hit hard.

If I lived in sav, I would make contingency plans now. As soon as it is announced officially to be hitting nearby, it will be 24- 36 hours out and you plus 400,000 people will all be scrambling simultaneously, a shitshow.
Being smart is not the same as being panicked or hysterical.
Be smart now so you dont have to be panicked or hysterical later.

Savannah is fine. I’m not worried although I did buy an extra bottle just in case.

My old man lives in Savannah and is a retired Ga Power employee who still has contacts with the company. Talked to him today and he said they think it's headed somewhere between Myrtle Beach and Wilmington.

From. Weather Underground. This kinda sucks...
The 12Z Tuesday run of the European model introduced a new and very distressing possibility: Florence stalling just offshore of North Carolina near Wilmington for roughly a day, then moving southwestward along and just off the South Carolina coast on Saturday, and finally making landfall close to Savannah, Georgia, on Sunday—all while still a hurricane. This outlandish-seeming prospect gained support from the 18Z run of the GFS model. It painted a very similar picture, with a landfall a bit farther north, near Charleston, on Sunday. The 18Z track from the experimental GFS FV3 model is very similar to the GFS track.

If this bitch starts to really turn towards to Savannah, I-16 east and west bounds will open for evacuation. I’m more worried about the two hurricanes behind Florence...
