I’m just upset I can’t bump all the UF posters believing they were unbeatable after Charleston Southern.

I donno. Ask us in 3 years when Mississippi State has losing seasons again and Mullen is killing it in the east.
He can't help what shite talent he was left with by McElwain.
You guys should enjoy what he left you instead of acting like a stalker ex-girlfriend.

You say this like you think Mullen is going to recruit well.
Spoiler alert: Mullen is not going to recruit well.

The narrative last week was “this team is loaded with talent, we just needed a coach”. Which one is it??

I love how in the same breath MISST fans will say this and then talk about how this isn’t your granddads MISST and how you have 5* and 4* talent across the board

I wish I could find the post where I said Mullen was good for at least one WTF game a year and the UK could be that game.

Florida has top 25 recruiting classes every year.
Yet couldn’t beat Kentucky. Even McElwain beat Kentucky

A couple of those guys were highly recruited. A couple more were Jucos that others passed on. The rest are upperclassmen that developed. We lose a lot and will take a huge step back next year.
Mullen will develop players and every four or five years, it will come together like it did for MSU this year, and in 2014. But there's a lot of 7 and 8 win seasons in between.
You'll see.

Spurrier threw some recruiting shade last night during is mid-game interview. Basically said there's no reason they shouldn't be recruiting in the Top 10 in the state of Florida.
We owned them in the trenches. But I think that's as much Stoops recruiting what he has to Kentucky as it is what Mullen inherited.

Mullen is a fricking idiot

He's 2 games in. The kneejerk reactions in this place never cease to amaze me.

On a more serious note:
1) Some coaches are good at building teams. Other coaches are good at taking teams to that final level. I'm not sure Mullen can do the latter--he didn't at MSU, but maybe he can at a school with more resources. Either way, he gave no evidence to suggest he can.
2) Mullen's recruiting is awful, and that can be part of the reason for point (1).
3) If you wanted a coach that could reliably win 8-9 games a year, you got a good one Florida. But there will be some infuriating losses, and I'm not sure that Florida has the patience to stick with Mullen through those.
