He is a very good coach and will do more great things. Just need to stop harping on every bad call

So lets view this situation now that the season is over and we know how they ended

Washington Season

Pac12 Champs (10-4)

Games against Ranked Teams

Auburn(9) - L
BYU(20) - W
Oregon(17) - L
Washington St(8) - W
Ohio State(6) - L

Quality Wins

BYU
Washington ST?

Bad Loses

Cal (7-6)

Auburn Season

Games against Ranked Teams

Washington(6) - W
LSU(6) - L
Texas AM (20) - W
Georgia (5)- L
Alabama(1) - L

Quality Wins

Texas AM
Washington

Bad Loses

Tennessee - (5-7)

Strength of schedule

Auburn - 6
Washington - 18

A lot of meh in this thread. Very little difference between these two seasons. In really, Petterson accomplished more by winning his conference but lets face it, that was not big deal. He lost every big game he played in except Washington St.

Gus did not win anything for the trophy case but played a much harder schedule and all the loses other than the Vols was against a ranked team. Plus won head to head
