Wetumpka is up 42-17 against Prattville.

I remember when Pratville knew how to do the footballs.

Per @HuskyFastNet broadcast, 4-star QB and #Alabama commitment Paul Tyson just became the career TD leader at Hewitt-Trussville High. Huskies up 24-0 over Huffman late 2Q. https://247sports.com/Player/Paul-Tyson-46039685/ … @HankSouth247

Update on Alabama's top three prep QB prospects halfway through the regular season...Paul Tyson (Paul "Bear" Bryant's great-grandson) is the only QB of the three with a victory against Hoover.

Sylacauga beat Saint Clair County 44-13.

If you haven't seen it yet, I'm sure you can find it on Maxpreps. The ending to the Mortimer Jordan/Clay Central game was CRAZY!!! Down 27-26, MJ lines up to kick a game winning FG with :04 left. Clay Central blocks the kick BUT fails to cover it. Kid for MJ scoops up the ball while the Clay defenders are celebrating and runs into the end zone for the winning TD!!!

I love the HS football in that region. Feel like they all hate each other.

Trussville is beating the hell out of Tuscaloosa County. 21-0 in the first quarter. Folks in the Birmingham area, it's on WABM, my68.

Well, Thompson beat an undefeated Mountain Brook team 31-7. That region is getting fun to watch.

Spain Park won 21-0 over Oak Mountain.

Hoover won 31-14 over Vestavia Hills.

Hewitt-Trussville beat Tuscaloosa County High 46-14.

Hueytown beat undefeated McAdory 20-0.

Games I've been paying attention too:

Opelika 59-21 over Stanhope. There's now a three-way tie in that region with Wetumpka, Opelika, and Stanhope.

Cobra, Center Point has freaking athletes all over the field!!! They aren't very deep but DAMN!!! I watched them in person last week as they ripped Sylacauga a new arse 40-14! I looked up their schedule afterward and saw that their 3 losses were to 7A Mountain Brook, 6A Homewood, and a 2 point loss to 5A Mortimer Jordan. They are pretty damn good.

Sylacauga laid another egg tonight and got blasted by Clay Central 42-0. Now, Sylacauga must beat Munford next week in order to make the playoffs.

I had no idea they were any good. I've seriously just written them off as a lost cause.
