Why? It’s very very simple. I will boil it down for you with just facts:

That's a whole lotta facts to say "Yes, Texas treated us poorly so we ran to the SEC".

It certainly was a smart business move. But the impetus was getting away from a toxic relationship.

And of course they treated the whole Big 12 poorly. But Aggy was exponentially more vocal about Texas than any other former or current Big 12 fanbase. Because they were/are your biggest rival. When you care to admit it...

No, we did that because we needed all that racket for political cover when leaders in Texas wanted to tie us to the fates of programs like Baylor and Texas Tech. It was a close call for us because of them, as the Baylor lawsuit shows.

We got it boiled down to “they got their toy (LHN) and we want ours (SEC)!” which was a dialect politicians could understand. And because Texas took their toy without asking any of them if it was ok it only seemed fair that we had to get our toy too.

And it’s worked out great, our toy had been way better.

whats your point here? we were vocal about what they were pulling, because WE COULD BE. we had the clout to tell texas to frick off and go join the SEC. you think baylor or iowa state or tech could? we were more vocal about the shite they were pulling, because we didnt have to suck their dicks to keep the conference together
