Of its conference? Not only that but the big 12 is the weakest conference in college football ?
Miami as a team that is contending for conference championships.
Compared to a bottom feeder in a bottom feeding conference that struggles to beat Iowa State and Kansas, I really think some of y’all have lost your minds

Serious answer: Some folks on this site are enamored by the horns.
There’s no other rationale (apart from trolling, which is also very much alive and well).
They’re star-struck by the dorks from Austin and forget that we played those fools for a century and aren’t overly giddy about dealing with their shite.
Texas A&M University stated (and demonstrated) that it wasn’t going to hitch its entire existence and future to an annual game with one team; whereas several schools in our new conference apparently revolve around their rivals and would make their university’s ensuing plans accordingly.
Maybe one day both of our universities’ (A&M-UTex) schedules will line-up, such that there’s room to accommodate the other.
That’s not the reality right now.

It’s not even about the records and current status it’s about tradition and rivalry. I don’t see why Aggie fans don’t want it? It’s a classic matchup that everyone even outside of Texas enjoyed watching. It could become even better now that a&m is in the SEC.

Simple solution: PLAY BOTH Miami and UT.
It shouldn't be that difficult if UT is as bad at aggy posters claim they are. But I'm thinking, as usual, aggys are filled with a lot of hot air.

Add Texas to the open slot, morons. You don’t need to drop Miami to play Texas. You don’t need 3 cupcakes in non-conf play.
Florida plays FSU and has had Miami or another P5 in the same year. Georgia plays Tech and schedules another P5. Same with South Carolina.
The SEC has an 8 game schedule, while others have 9. So why are you scared to schedule two P5 OOC opponents LOL
