or any SEC fans in STL; I’m curious to know how the economy did when comparing the 2018 SEC basketball tournament and the 2018 PGA Championship.
I know it’s probably way too early to know what impact money wise the PGA had, especially with Tiger in contention after making the cut; but what an atmosphere that had to be!

A US Open or PGA championship is going to win everytime regardless of where its hosted compared to a conference basketball tourney. You must be really fricking stupid.

I doubt it is even close. I went on Saturday and the crowds were huge. You can tell the traffic is a lot worse too.

Figured some civil Missourians would chime in. Obviously you don’t want to discuss great things about your state. I guess you’re lazy.

You poor Big 12-2 victim searching for honest conversation on an SEC forum...
It's a golf major...only a dust eater would think they are comparable.

Both were huge, but I would guess the SEC tourney had a bigger economic impact for the simple fact that the vast majority of the people attending the PGA already live here. That's why traffic was worse. Much higher percentage off out of town folks came in for the SEC.
Attendance at the PGA was amazing though

Gallery was retarded...went totally apeshit every time Tiger struck the ball without any type of clue of the quality of the shot.
No wonder it's been 25+ years since the state has hosted a major.

That's not true at all. There were people from all over the country here. Especially folks from surrounding states. I was camping 4 at the fairway bunkersand followed Tiger on Thursday.
No offense but folks I was around came from out of town. Complained about the drive from hotels they had to get in st charles because everything was booked in st louis county and drive down to old Chrysler plant for a shuttle to course.

I'm not a Tiger fan but he had a great round.

Seemed like most of your average, every day people didn't know the SEC tourney was here. Seems like everyone knew the PGA Championship was here.

It's like one was a worldwide event and the other was a regional event.
Crazy pants..

So everyone agrees the PGA championship vastly surpasses the SEC basketball tourney in economic gain for a region?
Shocking news Mike. Just stunning.
