Doesn't make sense to me. Same team as last year who won one as an underdog and lost one as a favorite. Those two games kind of cancel each other out due to LSU being overrated and Fitz getting hurt against OM. My guess is that consistency will continue even with more experience because you have a new head coach in an unfamiliar and gauntlet of a division. Two for sure losses in Bama and LSU. Would be an underdog against Auburn today and single digit faves against K ST, OM, A&M, and FL. They'll drop two or three in those 5. 7 or 8 wins seems likely.

I don’t see how winning against an overrated LSU is a negative, or cancels out with a game where they lost their QB.

Same team as last year

We add the #1 JUCO WR, Chauncey Rivers, Gerri Green moves to DE, and add a highly regarded player, Brian Cole, in the secondary. We were 8-4 last season and won a bowl game, return 18 starters and add key pieces to the holes from last year's team. I seriously doubt we go 7-5.

It was Dan Mullen's team! The expert thinks this head coach will be a better head coach than Dan Mullen based on recruiting and other potentials for this year. You are right to make YOUR own decision about and you are not an expert to what others are paid and done more research than you have. Yes there can be some surprise like Missouri won two SEC east division in a short time in the SEC.
