Video quality is crap, but if you want a treat they have Jack Cristil on the play by play.

The big assist to give Georgia the natty.

And State would have been in the Sugar Bowl if not for Lindsay Scott.

That 1980 Alabama squad was probably the best in the SEC as well as the nation. Ill-timed turnovers cost us the Mississippi State and Notre Dame games.

Bama was on like a 27 game win streak. Ridiculous.

God, as a guy who grew up in the 90's and 2000's, watching what the passing game looked like in the 80's is an abomination

It wasn't televised so this is actually the first ever televised airing of this game. Pretty historic

45% completion rate was normal for a QB

I believe it. It's clear that passing accuracy was not high on the priority list for recruiting quarterbacks. Anything more than 10 yards downfield gets overthrown by 5 yards 60% of the time.

Shoulder pads were just a little bigger then too..

Look how big the shoulder pads are. Today, some players don't look like they got any on.

True, and shoulder pads were like that all the way into the 90's before they got a little smaller.

Neck rolls and forearm pads were pretty popular too. I remember I looked like I was in a body cast in 7th grade.
