The Mississippi State - Florida rivalry gets another chapter in 2018

Lost in the mists is the Mississippi State - Florida rivalry that was pushed aside as an annual thing in 1992. The teams have played each other 55 times and Florida did not win an SEC Title until 1991. MSU has a 1 game winning streak against the Gators and has won 4 of the last 5 games played in Starkville. Here is a picture of the last meeting between Florida and Mississippi State:
Perhaps at some point Mississippi State will rightfully be able to play more East teams than Kentucky and some random team every 12 years.
33-19-2 UF leads(seriously UF? we are only 14 games back? Pathetic. Teams like LSU, Auburn, and Bama had no problem beating us up back in the day!)

I have never heard a fan be so proud of trailing in the series record by 14 games.

It is much better than trailing a team by 34 and considering them a rival. You guys need to tie up the Texas series like Mississippi State has. There is still time.

MSU and Florida are not rivals, and the Texas series is very embarrassing to me. You are comparing apples and oranges.
And tie up the Maine series while you're at it. There is still time.

These are sweet edible fruits grown by seeds on a tree. The history of this fruit dates back to Adam and Eve but I will spare you that history lesson and skip to the present where the state of Washington loves Apples so much, that each season Washington and Washington State play for the Apple cup:
Oranges
Ah the Orange. What a delightful fruit! Mostly associated with Florida due to their plentiful Oranges and Orange Juice. But this Citrus fruit can even be found in the local Fayetteville Walmart. The Orange also has its place in College Football as the Orange Bowl has been played yearly since 1935 in Miami Florida. Mississippi State is currently 1-2 in the Orange Bowl with the win coming off the heels of their 1941 Southeastern Conference Championship which featured a win over the Fake News Self Proclaimed Nation Champions Alabama who lost to MSU 14-0 in Tuscaloosa. Arkansas is 1-1 in the Orange Bowl with both games being against Oklahoma. But the most recent game was an even worse loss to Oklahoma 42-8. Plenty of Oranges in Oklahoma in 1987.

It's not a rivalry. Losing to Miss State is normally a program changing event for Florida. Zook was fired after a loss to MSU and we have never played a Thursday night game since Spurrier lost to State in 1992. When Mullen beat us in the Swamp 8 years ago, I think we had a 10 or 11 game home winning streak against you. State has not won 2 games in a row against Florida since 1958. You have won 10 games since then, but never back to back. This could be monumental for your program. Good luck
