DO NOT KILL ANY HOOKERS.
But seriously you’ll be alright, my man. Most all the guys I know who spent time in Korea enjoyed it, but said it could get boring at times.

Same here. One guy was in AF though(A10 pilot) so he got to travel a bit
College friends dad was actually the commander of 2nd infantry (S. Korea) while we were in school

Was going to say North or South, but since you are military, I will just say "best of luck". Prayers to you on your travels and deployment, and don't get too homesick.

You should've stocked up on Spam to sell. Koreans love that for some reason and pay a high price.

Check out Seoul, its one of the great cities of the world. There are a lot of sights to see out there you should take advantage of while you are there. Korean bar girls are not just a myth but remember to wrap it before you pack it.
There is a drink... soju? I can't remember the name off the top of my head. Anyway you can drink it and seem fine until you try to move and realize you are drunk off your arse. Be careful.
Korean motorists laugh at the Mad Max movies as something for pansies. Drive like everyone over there wants to kill you.

Better get used to the "fertilizer" smell.

Probably the funnest year I've had in the Air Force... Sucks being away from my wife and kids but I had a great shop.

That was my first duty station.(Camp Casey)

The culture is to just party in the ville or the barracks. My biggest regret about that tour is that I spent so much time partying and missed out on a lot of opportunities to see the country, so make sure in between soju kettles you get out and see some things.

I've over in Korea right now too.
I'm mainly down in Busan, but was in Daegu this past weekend and will be in Gwangju the week of August 6th through 10th.
Korea is pretty awesome. This is my third time over here.

ETA: I feel safer walking down the streets of South Korea than I do in my own hometown.

I was there for a couple days two weeks ago. Go check out Osan AB. They have a Chili's, movie theater, huge BX, etc.
You'll enjoy your time over here. Trust me, it goes by fast. Just work hard, keep your head down and have some fun.

Depends on where you're leaving from.
The last two times I've flown over here I left out of Atlanta. They were 15 hours long.
When I go home in September I'm going through San Francisco so it's only a 10 hour flight, then another 4 hours to Atlanta.
