How many times has Alabama beaten LSU in a row?

Which UGA team since 2011 would have had a chance against Saban coached Bama?

Their best seasons since 2011 (2012 and 2017) had their championship hopes ended by us. So, I think it's fair to say they'd be in the same boat LSU is.

2012 - 12-2, #5 AP Poll (lost to Alabama)
2013 - 8-5, UR
2014 - 10-3, #9 AP Poll
2015 - 10-3, UR (lost to Alabama)
2016 - 8-5, UR
2017 - 13-2, #2 AP Poll (lost to Alabama)

So, clearly not 2013 or 2016. I guess MAYBE 2014? That was a pretty good team when Gurley played and they showed up.

acting like a close loss is better than any other loss. fricking loser dogs..... when’s Georgia’s last win vs bama?

You really don't get it, do you? Here is what a LSU fan(you?) said:
UGA did as UGA always does - stomped with the big dog and came up short.

So the poster said we came up short against Alabama.....meanwhile LSU has lost 7 in a row with no end in sight? Like I said...I don't like troll threads, but crap. If you think some of the Georgia posters are going overboard, maybe you should take a good long look at your own fan base.

Seriously? 2012 took them down to the wire, and we did again this year. I never said we would beat them, but face it...LSU hasn't either since then. Seems odd that you can say Georgia always comes up short considering LSU's string of failures the last 7 years that will probably stretch for another year or two at least.

One of the few fun things about living in Atlanta is the annual dropping of the “G” flags in October.

Really? I was seeing them in January last year. Were you out of town?

So, we didn't win the SEC Championship last year?

But wouldn't you say both had a chance against a Saban coached Bama? He didn't ask which team would have beaten you. He asked which had a chance. Both played Bama closer than any LSU team has the last 6 years.

I mean, they had a chance and they lost games that were basically mirror images of the way LSU loses to us away from BDS. Close games late, one of them went to OT.

LSU almost always has chances to beat us down there during the course of the game. Hell, half the time they've had a grip on the game in the 4th quarter. They just don't win.

Yep. saw that in the toher thread. And, as I said, I don't care for troll threads like this one...but for this LSU fan to act like we can't stay on the field with Alabama (We will conveniently forget the 2015 game) is ridiculous.

Are we on the same plane as Alabama? heck no! Have we had our chances and played Alabama well at times? Well, at least as well as LSU has.

Sounds an awful lot like us when we play Alabama. is there a similar theme developing here?

LOL - well you have to do it at least 3 more times in the exact same way to reach LSU status.

I'd rather not. I'd prefer we beat you one or two of those times, and preferably for a National Championship.

But, I'm not sure I could take the trolls that would come out of the woodwork. We have too many showing up right now.

LSU has played several great/close games with Alabama as well.

LSU beat 2011 Alabama. UGA last beat Alabama in 2007?

The more you talk, the more it’ll hurt when we beat y’all. I’m staying quiet bc I know the feeling. NOTHING IS GUARANTEED IN THE SEC

Okay. But you asked if we had had a team that had a chance against them since 2011. I pointed out two and SummerOfGeorge pointed out another one or two.

Now count up the number of times each has played them.

It's not like we have the opportunity every single year.

I agree with you 100%. (Not the part about LSU beating us, but the other stuff )

Crow does not taste good. It takes awhile for younger kids to learn this. I learned a long time ago.

Let’s recap.

LSU lost 21-0 to Bama in a title game. UGA choked the game away.

I point out LSU actually beat Bama in 2011. UGA did not beat Bama last year.

UGA guy says LSU lost to Bama 7 straight times.

I ask when UGA would have beaten Bama.

The answer was that twice has UGA had a team that was good enough to beat Bama and they lost to Bama both seasons.

Debate over.
