Oklahoma City and Tulsa certainly bring in TV markets that are equal to most in the SEC.

Nah.
Houston, D/FW, Atlanta, Nashville, St. Louis, Tampa, San Antonio, Orlando, Austin, and Kansas City are all larger markets than OKC.
And Jacksonville, New Orleans, Louisville, Memphis, and Little Rock are all ranked higher (Nielsen markets) than Tulsa.

I’m not suggesting OK and Oke State are bad programs, but they bring little to the table that isn’t already there.

You used Austin and SA as TV markets for the SEC? Those are definitely big12

As far as TV market size, Birmingham is rated higher than Austin, Memphis, New Orleans, Louisville, Oklahoma City, Little Rock, Tulsa and Jacksonville, just behind San Antonio. Things change a little according to which listing you use. As far as college football eyes, Bham is often number 1. And it's not just watching the Tide or even the SEC. Though of course Alabama is the primary drawing card.
