Kansas hires Jeff Long as AD

Kansas is paying Jeff Long $1.5 million, which makes him second highest paid AD in the Big 12, just a fraction below Joe Castiglione’s contract at Oklahoma.
He also gets an extension the length of any penalty that any of the major programs may receive for actions before he took the job. So if Kansas basketball gets hit with a year or two penalty, JL gets a two year extension.

The Arkansas-A&M game is on SECN and just made me pissed at Bielema again. We’re up 21-17 and get the ball back with 1:30 left in the first half. Get the ball to midfield and then waste nearly the entire clock getting the play in, only to take a timeout before the snap

I just hope the expectations of our football program never sink that low. They're saying his Arkansas record would be statue worthy there. I actually think he would be right on par with what they've had there. He wouldn't land big recruits, he wouldn't develop unheralded recruits, and his style would amount to a lot of losses. Imagine Bert's inability to defend a spread offense in the Big 12. Ouch.

The GOBN at Arkansas is inept no doubt, but the GOBN at winning programs make them what they are... winning programs.

LOL Hey Genius - Are you gullible enough to think Arkansas wouldn't have made moves on the facilities front during Long's time on The Hill had he not been there?
