I really wanted to make a trip and get some decent fireworks, but don't think it will happen. My neighbors are older and the guy next to me has a dog that isn't doing too well. Maybe next year. We did go to a show on Saturday night. It was a town of a few thousand (Amish community) that draws in over 40k people. We did what we usually do and parked out in the country to avoid traffic. It was a great show and had a great time with the family.
Here is a picture of my clan in the back of the truck on the side of a bean field lol.

Usually I hangout with my in laws, we spend $1,500 or so on fireworks between about 20 people, and put on our own show in a field that is tied to patriotic music, with "American Trilogy" always being the finale.
This year, the in laws are coming to Kentucky to hang out with my family. So aside from buying some bottle rockets and roman candles to shoot at my brother and brother-in-laws after they get drunk, the answer is "no." We'll sit on a dock or take boats out and let the pros handle it.

Yes, very flat here. And lots of fields. My allergies have been killing me!

I'll spend a couple hundred bucks on fireworks. We are going to have a fish fry at church and follow it up with whatever fireworks people bring.

These Amish boys were more of a threat than us. It was funny, they had rap music playing. Was very surprised to even hear music coming out.

No. My dog hates them, and I imagine a lot of other dogs in the area hate them as well.

She's a boxer. My fourth one, and they've all hated fireworks. One broke out of the fence he was so freaked by them and was gone for a week before we found him.

I've never known a boxer that could handle fireworks.

Yeah, they can look mean but 95% of them are gigantic pussies. My current one runs and hides under the bed if you unwrap something from cellophane.
