Not a top 10 pick. Let’s hope those teams are wrong about his back and he has a great career.
It was cool to see mikal bridges go to the team his mom works for.

ESPN had him at 14 in the mock draft I saw last I checked. Looks like they nailed it.

Denver could be a playoff team next season.
Jokic is almost an all-star level player.
Millsap is a great pro to mentor MPJ
Murray and Harris are a decent backcourt.
Because if that MPJ won’t have a ton of pressure to be the guy right away.
If MPJ is healthy, the Nuggets will have a nice core to build around the next few seasons.

The part that will prevent me from rooting for the nuggets is they are owned by stan kronke.

Dropping to 14th probably cost him around $3M for the first year.

The 1 and done rule will end up costing him 14 million over the first contract.

How? He was hurt before he even got to college. NBA teams would have sniffed that out before the draft.
If you are projecting out to the end of his career...well, a lot can happen.

Without the 1 and done rule MPJ would have gone straight to the NBA. Where he would have been a top 5 pick in the 2017 draft. Over the course of his first contract that’s 14-15 million difference. 4 years as a pro vs 3 years at a lower pay rate.

A Tiger is in for millions of dollars either way

Again though, he was hurt before he got to college. His back wouldn't have slipped through the cracks.

Mizzou’s medical staff thought they could rehab the back. Someone in MPJ’s family chose the surgery route, which is what hurt his draft status. If they had a do over option I bet they would have been more forthright to the trainers about the injury and started pt before the season.

False hypothesis implies any conclusion.

Fun fact, the owner of the Denver Nuggets is from Columbia, MO for those on here who aren’t familiar with Stan Kroenke. I think he went to Hickman Highschool and he stayed in town to go to Mizzou. I’m pretty sure he owns half the city now. Porter just can’t seem to break the COMO connection.
He also owns the St. Louis... I mean LA Rams and Denvor’s professional soccer team.

His son Josh Kroenke is prsident of the Nuggets and Avalanch and played for Mizzou basketballin the late 90s.
But stan kroenke is still an a-hole.

Stank Kroenke. Or Satanic Stan as I call him.
Hate that POS.

Am I the only one that's tired of the whole fricking MPJ drama...and glad he's moved on?
I wish him well, but I'm relieved that this, one episode of "As The Porters Turn" is finished.

Now that Johntay came back does this mean that papa Porter is back on board?

Stan Kronke is a businessman, a very successful one. 'Spect I would have done the same thing regarding LA real estate, and moving the Rams to LA.
