I'm starting to see some scuttlebutt that he may actually be part of the team next year.
That would be pretty big if true. Would arguably be our best safety.

shite has been quiet since the suspension; not even any conspiracy theories.

Keeping Hilton on the bench does nothing but make the back end better.

Would makes sense. One would think if he were to be kicked off the team for whatever he did, it would have been done by now

We would definitely have a middle of the pack SEC defense.
especially if we had another linebacker that could run

Mizzou has LBs that can run in Hall and Miller.
Mizzou also plays about half the game in nickel, with a saftey as the 3rd LB

Lee and Hall can both play sideline to sideline. Garrett doesn't have to. He doesn't have much deep middle responsibility anymore with the A gap pressure packages BO put in after firing Cross.

That's true about Lee and Hall.
Mostly I was remembering watching Garrett try to pass defend. Not good

There arent any college MLBs that are great at reading guard action then dropping back on the deep middle as is required in the Tampa 2. That is why not many teams use it. The NFL teams that ran it successfully used converted WLBs (Urlacher and Quarles in TB). They also had Sapp and Harris taking up 2 weakside blockers on every play making the gaps easier to fill.
The mutliple front approach is far more appropriate for the current roster.
