here was a really good point made in the PT thread by LSUpimp LINK / :

I agree completely with a caveat. My best friend growing up began to get stoned regularly with his Dad at age 13. It fricked him up for a lifetime. That’s why you have to have some kind of ground rules, because for every legitimate situation there is another case of child abuse via drug use. This is the kind of thing a prosecutor should just throw out.

weed for medicinal purposes should be a no brainer for everyone; but I do understand that there are principled arguments on the other side

I'm more stunned by how this is such a trendy issue with so much interest considering the bigger picture.

You can start a thread about how many wars and occupations we are simultaneously waging around the globe, or start a thread about how this country is $22 trillion dollars in debt and climbing, or start a thread about how evil villains are successfully using mass migration to erase and neuter the west since it's the last remaining bulwark to their global commie control system.....but those threads would all get crickets or shrugged shoulders.

Start a weed "oppression" thread though..... and you'll get page after page of outrage and feinting spells. SIYG'e

What is fricked up, is that cannabis is legal in GA medically. Originally there were 8 specific cases where weed can be prescribed, and then later, "Senate bill 16", allowed for 6 additional conditions to be treated by cannabis.

Seizures is even one of the conditions that can be treated with cannabis, but the fricked up part, is how can a patient get this medicine? GA does not produce any medical marijuana for its approved patients, which can have up to 20 oz of low THC (less than .05%), so they must cross state lines to obtain the medicine, which is a felony to cross state lines with this specific medicine. The only other option is to buy it off the black market and good luck trying to find some kind bud with less than 5% THC.

Also Colorado is paving the way for all the states, as they have profited over a billions of dollars since the legality of it, all the while with providing more money for the schools, while reducing pain pill prescriptions (opiate epidemic) and alcohol sales. Plus not over filling the jail/prisons for people who use weed.
