Yep .... this kid is another key to our future. I hoped we would get him when Max Iyama signed and enrolled with us. Would love to see Murfreesboro become a pipeline for for us.
DLine is looking pretty damn sweet right now and Bobby Bentley is gettin' it done in his recruiting territory.

He's a good player, good pick up for you guys.
We backed off him a few months ago because not a fit for our new scheme (Not saying he wasn't a take, because we definitely would've taken him and tried to convert him to OLB or put some size on him to make him fit at DE), but he's an ideal 4-3 WDE.

How does he not fit the scheme? Saban, Pruitt, Smart, and Muschamp all run variations of the same scheme.

He's a 250lb defensive end, he needs 30-40 more pounds. Again, didn't say we wouldn't take him, but the staff wasn't sold on him fitting our scheme, so they wanted him to camp, apparently he didn't want to.
It's also a smaller class, and we only have a couple spots for DL this year, and there are players that are way above him on our board right now.

We do, but again, on the DLs we're taking this year, we're going to be extremely picky. Either JUCOs or Elite tier. We have Tymon Mitchell higher on our instate board, and staff seems to think Norton to UGA is not a done deal.
And that's just in state, there are at least 7 other players that we have higher on our DL board than Mitchell or Norton.

UGA only has to worry about Bama with Norton and the way they are filling up their D-line we are not very concerned. Reshad Cheney may not even have a spot with Bama at the end unless he takes a GS, btw great get for the clocks. Really like the kids tape.

“begging for help”? We are 1-1 with your best team in 30 years despite playing in the same division as Nick Saban. You have zero legitimate competition in the East as it currently stands. South Carolina, UF, and UT all have the potential to make it a difficult schedule for you moving forward. What’s irrational about supporting that? Just hoping for some fairness.
