We had to start 3 true freshmen on the oline due to injuries. Guice was injured. 4 of 6 in our 2-deep DL were out due to injuries/susp/targeting. That is why the beatdown happened. It really will be much different this year.

Fitz will be running for his life, not down the field for a first down.

oh so having to replace 6 on defense is better somehow?

You are replacing 6 on offense too.


All MS ST did was add depth at every position. They lost nobody. They literally just plugged a small hole.

Rewatch the 2017 LSU State game. Every time State had a breakaway run, LSU's force defender took himself out of the play, usually due to overaggressive pursuit. That's not on the D-line, but on the SS/SLB. No one who watched Ole Miss football in the O years was the least bit surprised. Brace yourself for more of the same.
