Isn't this exactly what this is celebrating? Only on a lesser level? You were runner up in the SEC. We were runner up on a national level. To you it is the same thing?

This, this is true.
"Auburn is broken!!!" is pretty odd from the only Big 6 school to not win a title in the modern era.
Particularly when you consider how close they were to glory.

If AU had actually made it to the NC title game they would depleted the toilet tissue supply in south Alabama, crawl out from under that rock they hide under after embarrassing losses and declare a national holiday. They couldn't even take care of Central Fla in their also ran bowl and now we have to listen to all the delusional bs about a mythical NC from a school that claims that they are the true Champion. All because they beat a team who got destroyed in the SECC game. Great job there AU
