These Gators were pretty critical of the UF spring game and the coaching staff....

Didn’t even know their spring game was today. Did they look bad?

I saw where one of the QB's had a 60 yard TD run. Jones?

Florida should just forfeit their season. Nobody wants to see them play.

It certainly wasn’t pretty, and the passes to former players and TD celebrations all felt gimmicky. We also didn’t get a single commit, color me unimpressed. Mullen seemed happy about it, seems like it’s gonna be another long season to me.

I've been pretty up on Mullen but this Spring Game was a little embarrassing. I understand that it was basically a free practice for the players to have fun, but that wasn't even the worst of it.

The hyping of the Franks run left me speechless, and I cringed when I saw him leaping into the end zone (and yes, they did count it as a touchdown).

They also had two free touchdowns thrown to prior players that made me kind of upset.

I get that they want to have fun, and maybe other Gators fans won't want me to say something like this but: They went 4 - 7, they were awful last year. I felt like they could have taken this a little more seriously, even if they were told to play down.

The defense was NOT going 100%, and a lot of the stats are inflated and it's just not what I wanted from the Spring Game.

Meanwhile @ FSU Taggart is pulling in 4*s left and right with vanilla ice and ice cream. I was told repeatedly that Taggart was a bum and Mullen was a great hire. It looks like the exact opposite right now. Of course those same gator fans said Kirby is WM 2.0. As for the team Just start Emory. I'd rather go 6-6 with him learning on the job more than 6-6 with Trask or Franks. Jake Allen has seen more action cleaning pools than he will playing AN. We need to add burrow for depth Just in case someone transfers or gets hurt.

They left Mullen's mic open for part of the broadcast and he never said anything. I'm guessing they were looking for some good sound bites from him.

Why doesn't he talk? Is that a Scientology thing?

Franks will always be my favorite Gator for what he did to Tennessee.

Did you just link a 50 minute video of 2 clowns breaking down UF's spring game?

You should be banned for this stupid arse thread..

I thought the gimmicky stuff was stupid, especially letting Franks score like that. He will probably think in his head and brag to some of the defenders about it, and then get crushed in a real game.

But as far as the actual game play, it just felt like a team that is making a huge change in their scheme. Mullen wouldn’t want to reveal too much right now anyway. He was more trying to hype everyone up, especially the students. Used this one for fun and all, I imagine next year’s spring game will be a hybrid of what we saw yesterday and an actual scrimmage.

Just my two cents. I’m not freaking out yet or anything based on what I saw. Now if we struggle to beat Charleston Southern by 30+, then I’ll start worrying.

Mullen always run the gimmicky plays to former players. It's his thing in spring training.

The "draft" that they use makes up some odd teams, so it is hard to get a feel for how the team will actually play on offense or defense. Don't read too much into what you saw yesterday.

Hev is a bad recruiter, but he can coach up what he is given pretty well. If you can get halfway decent talent in the door, your O-line will be pretty good. Just don't expect that he will be the guy delivering the goods.
