Yesterday was a good game. It’s the opposite of what has been happening early this season. It’s even better when it comes against the Cubs.
Bad news from the last two games is the injuries. Losing Molina will hurt the worse, but getting to see the future catcher will help the team. Carson Kelly as been catching most of the younger pitchers for a few years and should have a good rapport.
Losing Pham will hurt, but Bader has shown he is ready to play. The more he is able to play as a replacement for Pham it will make him a better player coming off the bench the rest of the season.
Bud Norris not being able to pitch for few days will really hurt the bullpen.
Losing Leone shouldn’t hurt

Just to give you a taste of Chicago life...
Me and the wife had a weekend without the kids so we spent the time downtown. Friday night we were at a packed pizza place and between 8 tv's two of them were on the Cards/Cubs game. The other 6 were spread out between playoff basketball and hockey.
Sometime in the 5th inning the 2 tv's with the Cards/Cubs game was switched to the basketball game. And not one person said a word. I looked at my wife rolled my eyes and said "hurry up and finish your drink we're leaving".
It is crazy the amount of people who claim to be fans, but if they aren't actually going to the game they don't care.

This is the best team chemistry-wise I've seen in a long time. They're having fun and finding ways to win. Losing Molina will hurt, but if they continue to show the resilience they have thus far and weather this stretch I think they'll be playing October baseball.
