Bud Norris should be the 9th inning guy for now. The loss tonight is not on Holland it is on the coaching staff and the two errors in the 9th.
Holland even has admitted he doesn’t have his good stuff back yet. He is not ready for save opportunities and he may not be all season.
Hicks is a 7th inning guy because he only has two good pitches. He is on the team because they didn’t want to waste options on other pitching prospects. He has good stuff but he needs another year in the minors to work on a good third pitch.
Hicks 7th inning
Holland 7th inning for now
Bowman 7th inning or a long reliever
Leone 8th inning
Gregerson 8th inning
Norris 9th inning
Lyons whenever he is needed
The rest of the pen should be long relievers along with Bowman
