The spring game has ALWAYS been free.
I understand the spring game being played in wms has brought out the fairweathers and t-shirters but how can you claim to be a fan if you have never even attended a free game?

I'm 45 minutes away, but it's my daughter's first birthday party sooooo she gets top priority Saturday.
Looking back, I have never attended a Spring game. I always have stuff going on on the weekends. Maybe I'm a bad fan.

Our fans love to claim to be realists but refuse to be realistic about themselves.
The claims about us having a great fanbase is false.
We have a good, middle of the pack fanbase, but nowhere near great.
What we have are a ton of fans who think they are doing their part by watchin on tv and screaming "Fire (insert coach/athletic director here)" on social media and message boards.
They are essentially wanting perfect roads without paying taxes.
Other programs charge admission to their spring game and they pack the stadium.

The excitement of a team getting Scott Frost is a large part of it. I guarantee during the past few seasons it didn't truly sell out. If we were winning 9-10 games a year on average, lost a coach and hired someone with such fan fare... we too would have much higher numbers.
But, we also don't have the name or past of Nebraska.

Nebraska hired an alumni star who went undefeated at UCF.
We hired an A&M alumn that apparently listens to rap music, can't back a crew cab truck into a parking spot and went 8-5 at SMU.
The lack of hype is understandably low.
And Arkansas fans aren't dumb. Most realize this will probably be another dog shite hire.
That being said, there will be 15,000 camo hog hats and skanks wearing cargos this weekend. Can't imagine how trashy its going to be down there in that shite hole. Going to make the NWA spring game look like the Masters.
