I'm starting to wonder about 2020 in Dallas. The original deal called for it to be worked out by late 2015. We're more than two years past that and still no opponent. Maybe it really IS getting harder to find an opponent willing to play us for one of these marquee games.

I found another article from last summer speculating that we may be looking into other cities' kickoff games. I sure hope we don't get saddled with another lower-tier P5 like Duke.

FWIW, per FBSchedules.com USC still doesn't have anybody scheduled for 9/5/2020. I wonder if they're in negotiations, too.

It looks like USC or UCLA are the most likely candidates, possibly Arizona (honestly I am tired of Sumlin though). Or Oklahoma if they want to get super gangster and play us and Tennessee back to back weekends to open the season.

What other cities are hosting these now? I know we are doing Orlando but who else is out there? I wonder if we would ever consider doing something like LSU did when they went to Lambeau. The money would be good but I know Saban likes to showcase the team in recruiting hot beds. We could do an NFL stadium in a cold weather city since its Labor Day but wonder if they would pay the big money like ATL and Dallas.
