To understand Bama you need to understand “the machine”

[link=(Image-1.jpg)]LINK[/link]Alabama is very different from all other Southern states in that is was infiltrated by an skull n bones splinter group 100 years ago and this group has organized and controlled the state ever sense that time. They started at university of Alabama by forming a powerful political group with the “ole row” frats and sororities to control campus politics and then spread out to control the rest of the state.
From this group spawned the incredible network of bagman, street agents, talent scouts etc that built that football program. Bond together in a blood oath in a Southern Version of “ skull of bones” they spread out like Nazi storm troopers to conquer the football world before we even knew what hit us.
This is why they don’t get caught. This is why they never flip. This is why they are called “the machine”

He's telling the truth. Alabama is a very structured society. Your family ties rule everything. For example you must join a specific frat or sorority in high school which governs which college frats and/or sorority you pledge.
The machine controls student government and by extension through family influence, much of what goes on through the University.

This is all correct.
It was so weird meeting people in Mobile when I moved to Gulf Shores. They'd ask where I went to school and I said LSU. They'd say no. What high school? And I was like, "who TF cares??"
Apparently, it's an Alabama thing.
