Good postgame comments from Bruce on the Hogs: LINK

"I was telling some people today, they're a team with their seniors and experience, that can really make a run in the tournament. Having got there last year, having advanced, having North Carolina, that group I just like...they gotta make their free throws. They get that fixed and they're playing as well as anyone in the league right now."

More at the end with final question as well.

"They're playing really well at the right time of the year. And they're deep, they've got enough size enough shooting..they've got all the pieces."

Getting misses out of Macon, Beard and Barford is rough.

Those guys have to be nails down the stretch.

Gafford too, folks are just going to start hacking him. Blows my mind because he has a decent looking stroke.

Macon still leads the SEC in FT shooting.

Barford is the killer, he was like 85% or so last year, was just behind Macon and top 5ish in SEC, he is at 69% now. How the hell do you drop off that hard in FT shooting? Don't get that at all, he's a better shooter this year than last by far.

Sure but he did miss two very unusual attempts trying to ice the game. Either way, we won't have to worry about him. I would like to see the break down on how well barford does towards the end of the game. It appears to me that it is just lack of focus and he shoots FT better at the end of the game. I know he hit two at the end of the game. I would think the same could be said for Beard.

He is much better than he was to start the year but he can still get better obviously

Macon in particular was putting a lot of pressure on himself because it was senior night. Winning his last game at Bud Walton seemed to be especially important to him compared to the other seniors. Not that the other guys didn't care but it just seemed like it meant more to Macon.

Didn't seem to bother him when he was throwing dimes and nailing 3s.

But I agree, he isn't afraid of showing some emotion. I think that is a big difference as well.

The only thing that pissed me off as always was Anton Beard. He will kill us in the NCAAT if keeps up some of the shite he did last night.

And even with the foul woes at times, I just think Gafford is a smart player- especially for a freshman. He made a few nice passes himself last night, has a great ability to just be in the place that he needs to be- I guess that's hustle too.

Dang I don't want him to go pro but I'd never blame him.

I was talking specifically about the missed free throws down the stretch. Auburn had closed the lead to 8 and I think he was just putting a lot of pressure on himself.

I know it was a joke about how well he played with that pressure.
