LSU has to be in the argument. Dating back to 2013 LSU put out a linebacker that started day one as a rookie 4 of the last 5 years starting with Kevin Minter.
2013- Kevin Minter
2015- Kwon Alexander
2016- Debo Jones
2017- Duke Riley & Kendall Beckwith
Kevin Minter no longer with the Cardinals but he was solid for them and now plays wit the Bengal. LSU also has Kelvin Sheppard who started some games for the Giants.
Kwon and Debo both made the pro bowl this year
Who else is in the discussion?

When we start giving out awards for Linebackers With Multiple Arrests, you can play.

I will give it to Deon Jones. He is a beast but we are LBU

Alabama: 4x Butkus, 1x Lombardi for an LB
Georgia: 1x Bednarik for an LB, 1x Butkus, 1x Lombardi for an LB
Ole Miss: 1x Butkus
Texas A&M: 1x Bednarik for an LB, 1x Butkus, 1x Lombardi for an LB
Looks like Alabama.

Who does Bama have that is better than what I posted for LBU? Mosely and Hightower are good pro bowl players, and Mark Barron is ok but that's not better than what LSU has put out in recent years.

Using your logic, Emmitt Smith is the best SEC RB.

Florida has produced Emmitt and Fred Taylor

We are NFLBU but Bama is LBU and it’s not even close.

Kendall Beckwith as a rookie had as many tackles as Mark Barron who's a tackling machine.

Justin Houston led the NFL in sacks this season as a veteran, Thomas Davis is a 3x pro bowler, and Alec Ogletree was voted the Rams Defensive MVP this year.
Sorry.
Sorry.

This is stupid. DBU, LBU RBU. If any of these athletes went to any other school they'd be in the exact same place.

Thomas Davis is in the latter part of his career.
Kwon Alexander a 3rd year player and Debo a 2 year player and both already look like perennial pro bowlers

Why are you ignoring college accomplishments? When people talk about positionU they look at college production, draft selection, and pro production. LSU is better pro wise but not by a whole lot, but Bama’s LBs are definitely more successful in college.

Welcome to The Rant. I'm new too.
Not sure about all the chest pounding over "Random Position U" What difference does it make in the ( wins vs losses) big picture ?

Not this year he didn’t. He was 19th in sacks. He led in 2014.

I can’t find that anywhere. Wouldn’t make sense either since DT Aaron Donald was the NFL DPOY.

Because I'm college you can very well be overrated because of the talent around you. Same thing with draft selection. You can't really question a players talent if he's balling in the pros
