KN had a nice update this morning with some decent news for the first time in awhile

DJ Williams
Currently on an OV to AU. It's apparently going very well & staff feel like he's a great fit. Apparently staff wants 2 backs in this class if possible. Some like Williams more than Noah Cain because they believe he's more explosive. He's listed at 5'11 but KN thinks it's closer to 5'9" maybe 5'10" which would put around same frame as Tre Mason. He still has OVs to take to TEX, UGA & MIA. KN says fact Canes have waited so long to offer might end up hurting them. AU is hoping to land Williams & Richards in this class

Owen Pappoe
Did not make it to the Plains but wasn't in Knoxville either. One commit told KN that Gus Malzahn told that commit he's confident Pappoe will sign with Auburn in December. KN still seems wary

Charles Moore
The Mississippi State commit is apparently still very much in play. He visited a bunch this summer but many thought State had locked him down. A source apparently close to his recruitment says Moore kinda wants to get out of the state. He's also very close with Jaren Handy. Marcus Woodson went to his game Friday. KN doesn't think a flip is imminent but now believes that AU has made this a real race. Moore is expected to OV at some point

Trezman Marshall
AU is still hard after the UGA commit. AU, LOU, FSU & TEN are all pushing to get OVs. He's close with Pappoe and at one point in time the 2 said they planned to play together at next level

Luke Deal
He and Keiondre Jones have become close over the recruiting process and play to be roommates at AU. KN says his sources told him that the pair have been the two of the most active among AU commits in terms of reaching out to other top recruits about coming to Auburn. KN also asked Deal about Kelly Bryant as apparently Deal participated in a workout last week with Bryant. Deal came away impressed with the Clemson transfer & said that he hopes he joins him at AU in January. Also said that Bryant wants to transfer somewhere close to home. He had previously told KN that distance from home would not matter

LeDarrius Cox
Apparently AU is still confident they will flip the Tennessee commit and the Vols are still not very confident in keepin him. KN admits though that he's been reporting that for months now. He's not sure what the hold up as been on the flip. FWIW he could also play OL but will start on the DL

Keiondre Jones
Jones admits that he was too big this summer at 344 lbs. It hurt him in some camps where he couldn't move as quickly as needed. He got his weight down to 330 this fall and it's shown in his play. His goal is to be at 320 when he gets to AU. UF continues to recruit him hard but he's locked in with the Tigers

If we could somehow flip Moore that’d be awesome. Ready for DJ to go ahead and commit. Anything on Putnam? Any other offers to tackles?

Not surprised Pappoe didn't take a trip this weekend. They had a really close/tough playoff game the night before. I imagine all he wanted to do was rest.

Everything else sounds good. Still not enough offensive line news for me though. Hopefully with early singing day coming up soon we start hearing some more names though.

Think Putnam is still on OV to Clemson. Should hear more in coming days

Not much else happening at OT from what I've seen. AU is working on Charles Cross, Amari Kight and Wanya Morris along with uncommitted but TX lean Isaiah Hookfin

I think it's gonna be another grad transfer this year but we will see who visits in coming weeks

Why go after Morris if he is so hardline UT? Is this typically Tennessee and they think everyone wants to play there?

That's what I was talking about

Because they finished #2 and you recruit an elite talent like him up until he says no

He's not the only guy going after but as long as he's listening to you keep talking just in case something happens

What is his defination of close? Also, after thinking about it and removing emotion. KB might be a great get. He won't be a Nick Marshall, however his boost to recruiting morale may be worth it.

Id trade Moore for Cox in a NY minute, no disrespect to Cox.

I sure hope we get Putnam, didnt they say he would get a look at tackle as well. Regardless the guy is a beast.

CJ would be a nice get judging by the film. I still wish Devan Barrett would have gotten a fair shot at rb, quite a waste of a career at this point. I marvel at the wealth of riches bama has at that position, and they still seem to be able to play ALL of them....must be coaching.

Because they are all great players. They go after a similar type every year all 6' or taller 220lb. Same thing Ohio State does, all thier guys look like Zeke. Meanwhile we sign a 5'5 170lb running back.

What rustles me about Barrett is he looked explosive last year.

4* LB Trezman Marshall told Rivals that AU is still very much in recruitment mostly due to T-WILL. Says he's closest to him than any other coach. AU will get his last OV. Plans to OV to Bama for the Iron Bowl

Since 2015 they have gotten two RBs that fit this description. The rest are around 5’10 190-200lbs. The difference isn’t really the size of their backs, it’s that they’re just better. Same with UGA.
