I am 60. Now, you said anybody that did not consider the 1983 team as champions were ignorant. Dude. As a 10 year old you figure you could easily see they were champions and the AP and UPI were ignorant for not realizing this?
You know something? You proved to me you are only a troll. You are incapable of using simple logic. You claim titles your own school does not recognize.
You go ahead and claim away. Nobody can stop you from saying whatever you want.

As I stated...the context of my statement was based upon looking at the records without names associated with them.

What titles have I claimed?

Have fun talking to yourself. There is no use talking to you.

I never claimed it...I only recognize that our school was awarded a championship for that season. I don't mind arguing that of our championship selections it is the season we had the best claim for a unanimous selection and were unable to secure it. I blame Texas.

My bad. Confused you with the tiger Miami guy. He claims 1983.

Which means you ultimately blame uga.

No. Honestly for those of us old enough to remember those days of CFB were pretty awesome. When uga beat Texas a team we beat a few weeks earlier most Auburn fans assumed we needed to beat Michigan and Miami had to beat Nebraska. The politics came in that the TV affiliate who had the Nebraska vs Miami game billed it as the National Championship game even though it was 1 vs 5 and 5 had the worst loss and schedule of the teams with a legit shot Auburn, Texas and Nebraska. Auburn actually needed uga to beat Texas to be selected by anyone for a title claim that season. So I guess...in a round about way...thanks.

Actually the only way they have somewhat of a claim is because we beat UT.They would have been the only undefeated left and NC had we not beat them.

Crap. I got them confused, too Here is what TigerMiami said:I claim 1983 all day every day because we were the best team in the country that year and it isn't really debatable
Tiger97, I got you confused, too.
I never noticed there were two different posters in the conversation, so a lot of my aggravation came from being confused.
Anyway....I am tired of the subject, and obviously confused by similar names, so I am bowing out of the conversation.

I would say Auburn is the biggest rivalry because we own tech and run the state.
Auburn shows tons of Thuggery and the hate is real. For example:
1. The hit on Damian Gary on a fair catch
2. Carlos Rogers hit on Reggie Brown
3. Nick Fairley on Aaron Murray
Plus the game is usually competitive and there balance each year as far as who will win the games.

Auburn has beaten uga 3 times since 2006. So has ga tech.

You could probably make an argument for them too. It's kinda interesting Georgia has 3 rivals with each having an argument for being their biggest rival. Can't really think of another team with the same situation.
Evidently you are not thinking very hard, oh, but wait, you are an auburn fan...ha! too easy. Forgive me.
I would say Bama - they have Au, TN, 7su... I know people don't want to admit it but the Baton Rouge people are a rival.

Nobody with any sense of rational thinking would answer "who is alabama's biggest rival?" with "LSU".
Yes LSU/bama is obviously a big game of late, but they aren't your biggest rival.

Lsu for Bama is like sc for uga.

The thread should have ended right here. Then we could'a skipped all the adolescent dick measuring.

You can go with this if you want but in 10 seconds of looking at that list it is obviously a shitty list. Just a couple of examples for AU, AL, and FL.
For AU 1993 is on there and not 2004 (both perfect/undefeated seasons). In 2004 we were probably the best team in the country, won the SECCG and the Sugar Bowl. In 1993, we didn't play in either and were on probation. And FSU would have beat us if we had played them. FL would have lit us up in a rematch in the SECCG.
For Bama, 1941 is on there. Nough said, although 1925 and 1926 are two more easy to call out and male a case bama was not even a top 5 team in those years.
For UF, 1985? No. 9 wins and a final #5 ranking while not playing in a bowl is not a national champ.
Maybe you should read the records book.
