“Winning your conference” is not and can’t be the standard. It is “the four best teams...period.” We have seen too many crappy teams luck into a conference championship.
Going to eight teams insures a further dilution to conference record and play...and you will get teams like UCF with a third rate schedule stinking up the process. You may eventually get a “wild card” winner too, and no one will be happy. 8 is too many, I actually favor the old BCS, two...but four is ok.
