UcF gave up 23.5 points per game to teams that never sniffed "receiving votes"

I could say the same... no advanced stats needed here... you're the one making the claim that the UCF schedule is roughly equivalent to Bama's... proof is in the pudding... splain it to us dumb SEC fans.

The 2008 Utah team had a much more legitimate claim to the national championship than UCF does this year. I don’t remember them hanging banners or having parades.

I responded to someone else's claims. Once those are proven, we can dig into anything else.
Any other questions?

I think it's because UcF knows their place in their state. It's little brother syndrome at its finest.

They have a better claim to the championship than either Bama or UGA.

You need to look this word up in a dictionary.

UCF schedule is roughly equivalent to Bama's...
According to Sagarin, UCF played the 72nd toughest schedule and Alabama played the 47th toughest schedule.
Georgia the 18th toughest.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Alabama only beat 2 teams that finished ranked (using AP poll) at the end of the season (LSU at #16 and MSU at #24). Whereas UCF also beat 2 teams that finished ranked at the end of the season (Memphis at #19 and South Florida at #23).
Disclaimer - not at all saying UCF had a schedule even close to the same strength as Alabama's.

This was the post you responded to... There was literally nothing to be proven there. It was purely a speculative rhetorical question.

all you ucf natty pumpers would be perfectly fine with say, bama, uga, tosu, uscw, texas, oklahoma or any top level power 5 team taking a year off from power 5. they go play the exact same schedule that ucf played this year and go undefeated. every one of you would be clamoring for them to be in the playoffs, right?
Seems like we're good to go, yeah? Now you can help our feeble minds comprehend how UCF's schedule is in the same ballpark as Bama.

Was that a national championship parade or just a Sugar Bowl victory parade?

Wrong.

There you go.

Not yet, although someone else has already posted a significantly better source of information.

Who cares.
It was a parade.
It was a parade.

It has a period, but it's obviously a rhetorical question/statement... If a P5 traditional power took a year off and only played G5/FCS teams, would *you* be fine if they went undefeated and took a playoff spot.
What is there to "prove" about that?
If you can't back up your garbage claim, just go ahead and admit it for everyone and we can all move on.
ETA... if you read the entire statement again... it's clearly a somewhat poorly constructed sequence of statements that end in a question...

So... hypothetical scenario is set up: Blueblood drops down in SOS difficulty > goes undefeated > you would want them in the playoffs because they were undefeated > rhetorical question mark
