He's had really solid stints. He's a glue player that does a lot of the little things. He's the epitome of a role player.

He gives us quality minutes.

Wish trey Thompson got more minutes.

Didn't see anything out of Thompson to warrant more minutes.

Looks like he needs a fire lit under his arse... played slow and looked lackidasical.

Could have used a more energetic big body in that game too.

Unfortunately, Gafford needs rest and will have foul trouble at times meaning Trey will have to play more minutes as well.

I honestly think if Nolan were coaching Thompson he would be yelling at his arse the whole time.
Seems like a guy that needs to play angered... by his coaching staff.

I thought he looked pretty good today. Was good at the end of last season too.

He did, played well for us. He was in the game the whole time down the stretch and in OT and did well.

It's telling that he got more minutes than Bailey today. I bet his role will keep expanding.

I think a guy like Thompson could have been a major difference maker today had he stepped up... Gafford had to do battle with a glorified linebacker all day.
Every once in awhile you've got to counter that with mass... if you can.

Big O did a lot more than stand at the top of the key looking to dish.
If Thompson were to wake up we would fare a lot better against those teams with physical bigs.

If Thompson had a mid range game he would be money. I wasn't that impressed with him in person today. I think Tennessee's size and length prevented him from being effective as a facilitator from the top of the key.

We will have problems against big physical teams that play good D. Same thing happened against UNC.

Yeah. I am glad Gafford stepped up in the second half, but he's going to need more of a supporting cast down there. Otherwise we have to rely on our guards to play out of their minds.

That's what guards do though, especially come March. We knew coming into the year that we'd go as far as Barford/Macon can take us.

He's a smart defender, and is the only player with the size to hold up against some of the bigs we'll be playing later in the year. Literally the entire team thinks he's the best passer on the squad........that being said his effort at times looks like a guy who knows he's good but not good enough to play professional and it looks like at times he's sulking. Hopefully he realizes that's selfish thinking and that he has the opportunity to be a key player in hopefully the best Arkansas team since the turn of the century.

Anyone making a post defending his 5 minutes of play is a basketball fraud

I like Cook. We got good minutes from him yesterday. IMO he will be a key guy going down the stretch when teams start to key in on Gafford.
