Looked through all the information I can find, most comes from Billy Liucci.

Candidates ruled out:
Bud Foster
Mike Elko
Greg Schiano
Phil Bennet
Bigger than Elko
Todd Graham
Mel Tucker
Brent Venables
Alex Grinch

Clues he's given, either directly or indirectly:

Will likely run a 3-4 defense

Is an 11 on the 1-10 excitement scale

Someone asked this question: Rank these 5 programs in terms of total wins over the next 5 years: TAMU, Texas, OU, LSU, Alabama, Auburn.

Answer: Alabama, TAMU, OU, Auburn, Texas, LSU.

Interesting that LSU is last.

Remaining candidates based on information:

Don Brown - Michigan DC - Runs 3-4, has had a top 5 defense the last 4 years, even at Boston College

Dave Aranda - LSU DC - Runs 3-4, has never fielded a defense ranked below 15, even at Utah State. Would equate to an 11 on the excitement scale. Also a good reason to rank LSU last in that list of total wins over the next 5 years, especially considering Liucci thinks Texas will fail miserably under Herman.

Of course he does.

And he'a got A&M fans' 2 favorite teams winning the most and A&M fans' 2 biggest rivals losing the most over the next 5 years. Hot take there.

Feels like this should have landed on the Aggie board. Maybe once we have our guy you could bring it here.

This is not the aggie way, it's much better to put head in sand.

The funny thing is that LSU does not consider A&M as a rival. And they are still begging LSU to be their rival the same way they did when they first joined the SEC.

Rumors that Aranda and Raymond are both getting raises and extensions so good luck.

Did Lucci also promise you consistent 3 loss seasons unless James Winston can come back with eligibility?

That’s not a great looking record outside of 2 years. That worth 10 years, $75 million?

And I know, it’s a hell of a lot better than our guys record.

No clue if its worth 75 million and 10 years. Not my money so really the money means nothing. The records are better than what we have had so if it improves then all is well.

Now they are bragging about Florida State’s record.

The Little Brother Aggies are hilarious.

Here is my prediction. Comparing their first five years Sumlin will have a better record at A&M than Jimbo Fisher will.

Where was I bragging? All I did was point out that Jimbo had winning records outside of Winstons time there.

For future reference if you don't get Aranda are y'all just going to say you didn't want him?

We leave that to LSU fans as it pertains to Jimbo.
