He is, who he is... or, in this case, he was who he was. Never bothered to work on his fundamentals and got by on natural talent.
Well, surprise surprise... everyone in the NBA has a ton of natural talent.
He was sheltered at Kentucky on a loaded team that never asked him to do more then he was willing to do. He'd have been better served coming here... or hell.. anywhere else... where would have had to develop an all around game.

Good thing he went to Kentucky so he could be developed for the NBA by Cal who does that better than anyone

Funny thing is, a guy like CJ Jones could carve out a fantastic career in the NBA if he could devote himself to being a top-notch 3 and D player. Like...JUST focus on that and you could play in the league for a decade.
