Effective immediately, the University of Tennessee shall now be called the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. Instead of saying UT, they shall now be referred to as UTK, as to not be confused with the real UT in Austin or the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga.

Everyone nationally already calls them UTK
Texas is UT
Texas is UT

UTa ... pronounced Ootah, is Texas. The whornes.
UT is automatically assumed to be UTk, our SEC brethren in Knoxville.
Not giving UTa any leeway on this. Frick UTa.

frick Texas. Tenner was long established before Texas was a state. Tennessee = UT

Some people already refer to them as UTk. Given that this is an SEC board, its not that confusing to refer to them as UT since they are discussed more often than Texas. Also, one can typically tell from the context which 'UT' is being talked about. But your request has been noted.

Another idiot that doesn't realize UTK isn't an insult to UT grads or anyone else involved in the inner workings at UT. It's what we call ourselves and a great way of distinguishing outsiders from insiders (sidewalkers and idiot rivals [not all rivals are idiots although OP fits that bill] included). We are a system school - UTC, UTM and others are all UT.
That said, this is an SEC board. UT = the University of Tennessee. If you want it to refer to UTa OR The University of Texas at Austin try a B12 board.

UTA would be UM (U of Mexico) if not for Tennessee. Got troll though, got me.

At the time UT in Knoxville was educating its first class of students, Mexicans were still telling texans when/where to piss.
Around 40 years later the rowdy Tennesseans came to give the lowly texans their freedom.
The real U is in Tennessee
