I think he’s a pretty good young coach but yeah, that would be a colossal reach.
Who else besides Tosh Lupoi has been mentioned?

Pretty sure they are just trying to get him on staff, not to make him DC

It's going to be this guy

Former Barn Coach Gene Chizik.

Tosh will get the DC job, if he wants it

Saban is making a mistake if it's not Tosh Lupoi. I guarantee he will bolt if he's not named the DC. He was Co-Defensive Coordinator this season. Oh and stay away from Tidefans.

I know that Tosh is one helluva recruiter but what is his reputation around the program as far as an X’s and O’s guy? Would you really trust him enough to make him the defensive coordinator at Alabama? From just looking at his resumé that seems like a reach.

He is considering this guy for a position, no DC. This came straight from Cecil hurt this afternoon and there is no better source for any sec news than him. You freaks need to quit reading tidefans and step off the ledge.

Golding? Sounds Jewish. Does Roy know him?

Sounds like you need some Xanax or maybe some electric shock treatments. Take a deep breath before you stroke out.

He's in second year at UTSA.
Interesting hire. But, UTSA does play in an offensive friendly conference, and, with a cursory look, it seems their D carried them this yr. Not a stellar record, but only lost one game by more than 1 possession, which was a 14 pt loss. They were 1-0 against P5 schools, but... who didn't beat Baylor this yr?
Their D leads the nation in fewest plays played this yr, so they either get tms off the field quickly or give up scores quickly. Given they are 8 in scoring D, I think it's likely the former. But, not leading the nation in yards per play allowed may still be an indiactor of a high number of chunk plays allowed. Lots of variables involved in that with talent level and overall context, but bend but don't break potential may be there.
A top 25 rushing D, #3 pass D, and top 10 total D, as stated, in a traditionally offensive conference, no doubt would and/or should grab some HCs interest.
Not a ring knocking, well known name, but certainly has potential. When CNS extends his recruiting eye to diamonds in the rough for coordinators that will have longevity and high ceilings, the SEC may certainly remain fricked.

Sounds like reading comprehension isn't one of your strong points. Read the article again and maybe you will understand that it's not for the DC position.
