So today that was a major topic of discussion on Finebaum. Fairly fruitless IMHO. They went down the list of Saban disciples with a couple of beat writers.
One was an asshat who has consistently been proven wrong. FSU beat writer I think?
There's now what, five from his tree coaching in the SEC? Morris is not one of them is he?
Kirby
mUSChamp
Jimbo
Mullen
Pruitt
One of those maybe ... but not Morris. Although IMHO Morris will be an excellent fit at Arkansas once he has recruited players to fit his offensive system and provided he puts together a solid staff.

Not sure who the next Nick Saban is but in a few years I think you’ll be asking who’s the next Kirby Smart. Kirby is putting on a clinical for recruiting. If UGA can’t win a title in a few years....I’m gonna concede it just ain’t happening in Georgia.

I don't think it's fair to assume that the next Nick Saban will come from the Nick Saban tree.
If we had to place Nick Saban in someone else's tree who would we say, primarily, he belongs to? Don James? Solid but not the Nick Saban of his era.
People will say Belichick but Saban was well on his way before he fell under Belichick.

True, hard to argue with that.
Who else falls under the Saban tree? Dantonio? Lawing ... but he'll probably never be an HC.
Haywood, Dooley, Gase?
Wonder if mUSChamp considers himself part of Saban's tree or Mack Brown's tree?

All Tenner had to do was hire a coach.......any coach, to start declarin' a dynasty. It's the Tenner way.
Stay tuned for the "fahr Pruitt" threads. That's also the Tenner way.

Saban has no losing seasons in college. Morris has two in 3 years.

Didn't think PF would hang out with the likes of Kanell.

I'm not trying to be flippant here, but Saban is, debatably, the best college coach of all time. It's very unlikely that anyone replicates what he has done anytime soon.
