Obviously beating bad teams is better than losing to them but I'm still not buying that this is a completely different LSU team. From what I've seen the deffense is still absolutely terrible.

The defense was doing a little better when Sampson was around, he got hurt at the very beginning of the ND game in Maui and things unraveled quickly from there. The team is playing better defense than last year, but without Sampson it hasn't been noticeably better.

The good news is we have one of the best offenses out there right now. Taking much better shots and our offensive rating is 6th in the country. Last yea rour offensive rating was a putrid 217th in the country.

Defense has got to come around, too many lapses and Wade is starting to lose it with this guys because they arent giving the effort throughout a game. We get a big lead and they get complacent and watch other teams drain uncontested 3's. It's going to take time for them to come around defensively but Wade knows how to coach and he's pounding it into them. They practiced defense 85% of practice the last few off week+ he said.

wow. that statement ought to be embarrassing. this team is way, WAY different. the conference record won't reflect it though. it's going to be brutal.

if you followed the offseason soap opera, you would know that it is basically a miracle that lsu isn't dead last in div 1. wade is definitely pulling a rabbit out of the hat with this team.
