So true. Kids can be the worst. You pray it never happens to your kid and your heart breaks for the ones that are bullied since the scars will probably last a lifetime.
Good for the UT community rallying around him. ?
Social media they never get a break

I couldn't watch the video because I am a father of a disabled daughter. Thank you for all of your positive responses to such a sad situation. Thank you rant.

People picking on/making fun of people with disabilities is my weak spot. That shite gets me redneck mad.
Poor little dude. Hope things get better for him.
Yeah I learned a lesson when I was in jr high. I made fun of new kid a grade below thinking I was being cool and in front of a girl. Turned out it was her younger bro. Yeah definitely shows the strength in lessons learned. Cause i'm the same way as you are cause of it.
As to the story....
Wonder if he is going to point out the kids that picked on him so they dont try to act all cool with them
Also, I think the fight back option is good, but sometimes it sux that people who defend themselves get in trouble too. Which prevents some kids from defending themselves.

From a poster on another board

So my sister is best friends with Keaton’s mom, and has been helping her deal with all of this support I guess you could say, and some dude from New Jersey has raised 9,000 dollars in the past 6 hours to give to Keaton for a scholarship fund of some sort. Pretty fricking cool dudes

Man, that just breaks my heart watching that. I wanna drive up there and beat the shite out of those kids for him. My son has dealt with some bullying, too, so I know how helpless his mom has to feel. You want to go deal with it yourself, but your hands are tied.
Had an incident a few weeks ago where a few specific kids were bullying one of my son's friends on the playground, pushing him down and kicking him while he was on the ground. My son tried to intervene and they turned their aggression on him. Wouldn't let them go around them in order to go tell the teacher. One was a girl and was telling the first boy that he couldn't hit her back because she was a girl. Freaking pathetic. I took it up with the teacher and another teacher that works with my son, and he escalated it up to the assistant principal. They called all of those involved in to talk individually and things have been fine since that time. My son now makes regular visits to the assistant principal's office and another teacher's office to keep them in-the-loop and that seems to be good for both he and they. Gives him a chance to vent and know that people are there for him when I can't be.
I hope this young man is able to get some better support inside the school so this can be squashed permanently.

You'll never win on the field, but winning off the field for sure. Good shite.

When I played football how you conducted yourself was taken very seriously. Glad to see the sport still develops good men.

How about first kicking the bullies out of school

No one, and I mean no one can be more cruel than children.
Good for those Tennessee players. Really cool thing for them to do and will probably be an awesome day for that kid.

I started to bully a kid in middle school and he nipped that in the bud real quick by cold cocking me one day and breaking my nose.
I never bullied anyone ever again except on the internet.

Follow up, the kid grew to become a child molester and now serving time in Arizona. Makes it hard to feel bad about bullying him.

What if you caused it

Bullying doesn’t cause child molestation.
The kid was an adopted kid so he probably got his tendencies from his previous family.

The way people have responded to this story is pretty incredible. Hopefully anyone who goes through times like these realize that there are people out there who care about you no matter what.

I have a child that was not only bullied, but touched inappropriately in grade school by a couple of other grade school kids, let the teachers and admin know and they said "Please let them handle it" I let it slide. Wrong decision.
the second time it happened, they had no choice. I took care of it immediately, and they had mandatory training from the state and federal level. Screw em....
The good ole boy system in some of these district has to end, and it begins at the top.
Prof... Let me know how things turn out please..
