A simple question. Between these two series, which games did the neutral observers look forward to more?

I would guess Florida/Tennessee because the games were more offensive

Why would you stop at 2000 with TSIS? 2001 was probably the best game in the Spurrier/Fulmer rivalry.

As an Oklahoma fan and completely neutral observer, UT-UF.

To answer OP, Fulmer vs Spurrier was unbeatable in terms of pure entertainment and not just because it had more offensive firepower but also because of the personalities. You couldn't pick two Tennesseans more different and yet they played off of each other so well. Saban and Miles were subdued in comparison -- both respectful of the other.

Why the cutoff at 2000? 2001 was the highest quality game of the UT-UF rivalry. Also, UT vs. UF was the better rivalry. Florida and Tennessee finished in the top 10 fourteen times from 1993-2001. LSU and Alabama finished in the top 10 eleven times between 2007 to 2015. Furthermore, Florida finished in the top 10 eight times and Tennessee finished in the top 10 six times. The two schools were on somewhat equal ground. By contrast, Alabama finished in the top 10 eight times while LSU finished in the top 10 only three times between 2007 to 2015. Outside of 2010 and 2011, there was always a pretty large gap between the two teams.

Peak would favor UA/LSU since they actually rematched in a title game and finished #1 and #2. I bet that would've happened in 96 until UT lost to Memphis. UF and UT finished #2 and #3 in 95 and only lost once.

I would say Bama vs LSU. More offense in the UT/UF, but more was at stake from a national championship perspective with UA/LSU. 4 nattys Between UA/LSU during their years vs 2 with UF/UT.
