OT: How Can a 47-50 (0-1 Bowls) Coach Get 2 Premier HC Jobs?

Willie Taggart got the Oregon and FSU jobs how? Someone please explain this to me.

He completely built the USF you see right now and provided a quick turnaround for Oregon. I would never read too much into a coach’s 1st years at a dumpster fire mid-major

Recruiting is highly valued when it comes to coaching.

UF fans wanted him as well.
He did a good job building up two programs. Just don't see it either tbh. His recruiting is the big hype, but he wasn't an elite recruiter till...this year. USF classes weren't all that impressive. Also took Frost half the time, to do a better rebuild at an identical program. Just don't see the hype tbh.

Took over programs that were 0-12 and 3-9 the year before and had them in bowl games by year 3.

He may end up being a great hire but he has really had one very good season in 8 years. If he hangs around at 7-5 or less at FSU which has been his norm he won't last long.

Let me give you two records.
34-26 / 0-3 in Bowl games
16-20 / 0 Bowl appearances.
LSU hired both of these guys, both have been at two major programs. One of them now has 5 national titles to his name.
