Gus is staying.
No telling when it becomes public but word is starting to leak out on the message boards.
ETA 12/3: GG sounds like y'all may get him anyway.

About fricking time. Can you just announce it ASAP so our GOBN will get the point and move on now?

Chesh, not saying it’s true but I highly doubt it.

Sounds like we're going the "Championship Saturday news dump" route
Apparently only a three-year extension, which is surprising imo. Puts him through 2023 I believe

My god! Who would have thought it!?
He wants to stay with a program where he's returning a ton of players next year and is already having a possibility of playing in a NC game or at least being in the runoff this year? You mean a guy would want to roll the dice on possibly competing for the national championship two years in a row versus coming to this paragon of football prowess known as Arkansas? Why oh why would Gus ever betray us like this and make such a decision?

All of our coaching targets are coaching this weekend so we'd be waiting anyway. What's wrong with making Gus our #1 and making him say no? We lose nothing from it. I'm not sure what everyone's issue is.

I have no issue with making Gus say no. I do have an issue with the people who are insistent that this has a high likelihood of coming to fruition. Bo put it well today on his show when he summed up every career move that Gus has made since Shiloh... none of them displayed any loyalty or undue affection for Arkansas. Every single one indicated a loyalty to career aspirations, coaching legacy, and upward mobility. One by one, break them down. None indicate that he has some great desire to be the head coach at Arkansas. All do indicate that he wants to go down as a guy who won a natty or two or three. Your chances of doing that are highest at Auburn right now. You can always knock out a couple of nattys at Auburn then come home to Arkansas and really cement your national legacy by winning a natty there (we can only wish). Fact remains, he isn't coming to Arkansas because it makes no freaking logical sense to anyone except blind homers who think Gus has some mystical calling to return to the homeland.

Even FSU guys (i.e. Bud Elliott at SBNation) were saying that Jimbo was holding out for the Auburn job if Gus bolted -- and they're both Sexton clients.

Auburn wasn’t going to pay Jimbo 75 million in garunteed money. That’s why Jimbo went to A&M
Sexton gets a cut of that 75 mil
