First I thought UF conducted best coaching search but after MS did theirs that clearly is how it should be done. But hats off to both for getting their guys.

This is true and why I give MS nod but also think UF dodged bullet with Kelly.

We went for the big target, and had the back up. Stricklin claims, though not sure if true or not that he didn't want to just go for Mullen. Wanted to try two others before going after the coach of his former school because he didn't want to do it to Miss State.

It was an article by Dooley, but not sure if it's actually true or not. He went for Kelly and Frost. Wasn't happening, so got the guy he knew wanted to be here.

They kept jumping in front of that bullet, though. They weren't trying to dodge it, so don't give too much credit to them.

And they went through 2-3 coaches before getting Mullen.

The new coach said he had reached out to like 120 potential staff members to join him in the last 6 weeks. Our AD gets it. We long term plan and have been going through back channels for a while just to gage interest. Sounds like they knew Mullen was gonna jump ship.

It is a breath of fresh air with Mullen gone.

If people think UF fans are fair weathered now get ready. A hard headed lazy recruiter just took them to the cleaners.

Shining light wow.... Do you know how many recruits we lost within a hours drive of Starkville? Guys who grew up MSU fans and were legacy. MSU got out recruited because Mullen and the country club boys got lazy. Its #15 cause the state is loaded this year. They did that blind folded.

UF was so desperate they hired MSU’s coach. Let that sink in.

You're Mississippi State, you'll never win a championship. Let that sink in.

Mullen looked like he needed a fresh start and looks reinvigorated at UF. But man I really like Miss States new coach and time will tell how he does but good track record.

Hey man we do the best we can for being such a small state. UF is the champion of big heads. UF has most fair weathered fans I have ever seen in the SEC, fan support is pathetic.

I don’t get how UF hasn’t had the best coaching search but they took Mullen from State and basically paid Mullen what State was going pay him.

Mullens was getting nervous about the shady tactics of the bully bloc and decided it was time to head for greener pastures (no pun intended)

Now that they've shared the same coach so many times I think that makes them wiener cousins. Grats guys.
