What are your bets? I'm thinking Michigan in the Outback Bowl again. We won't have Clowney or Shaw this time though.

Mich doesn't have a QB to speak of which is good for us but a month's worth of preparation might help them there. Their D is pretty stout, which worries me a bit.

Any takers?

Edit: I'm just hoping for a NYE or NYD bowl.

IMHO we're headed to Tampa vs Michigan. I'm fine with that but would not be unhappy if we were sent to Nashville.

Nashville is not likely. It'll be somewhere in Florida, especially if two teams make it from the SEC to the playoffs.

I'd prefer the most winnable matchup. Not sure Carolina can beat Notre Dame right now. Michigan is mediocre as cold cereal.

Not sure if SC can beat ND but that sure as heck would bring the most SC fans down. Not sure if yet another Outback bowl, against a team we faced a few years ago, will bring many down after the drubbing last Sat.

I agree .... that's why I was really hoping we would end-up in Nashville against someone like Iowa.

I do not feel good about Michigan. Their offense sucks donkey balls but their defense is very good and they're due. I follow them closely because of friends up there, I'm up there a lot. It's not a good match-up for us.

There was talk initially of us being able to back door our way into the citrus because LSU went last year and they typically don't like taking the same team 2 years in a row. However, Citrus did indeed pick LSU again.

Technically no. but their board or whatever did meet and they are leaning that way fairly hard. I think we absolutely end up in tampa

hard to see Carolina anywhere but Tampa at this point. only unknown is whether it's against Northwestern or Michigan State.

NY6 bowls (if the favorites per Vegas win)

Rose/CFP - 2 Auburn v 3 Oklahoma
Sugar/CFP - 1 Pickens v 4 Alabama

Cotton - TCU v Wisconsin
Peach - Georgia v UCF (#12)
Orange - UMiami v Penn State
Fiesta - Southern Cal v Ohio State

Other SEC

Citrus - LSU v Notre Dame
Outback - Carolina v Michigan State
Gator - Mississippi State v Louisville
Music City - Kentucky v Iowa
Liberty - Missouri v Iowa State
Belk - Texas AM v FSU (<----Jimbo Bowl - he can coach both teams at same time)
Independence - fill-in OOC
Birmingham - fill-in OOC

Where do you see Michigan playing? I would think either Citrus or Outback but you seem to have left them out.

Michigan finished with 8 wins, which is behind 5 other schools in their conference. I could see their conference brass playing to UM's wants (a FL bowl) and bumping Northwestern at 9 wins out West. Michigan's huge alumni base probably makes them more likely to go out West to San Diego and the Holiday bowl against a 9-4 Stanford, if for the Harbaugh angle alone.

you nailed it ATL

Michigan got a nice hookup to jump #16 & #21 ranked teams from their league and got the better bowl in Tampa.
