Are you referring to the article below?
For the record, most info from the A&M side points to Sunday being “the day.”

quote:

The situation between Florida State and its current head coach, Jimbo Fisher, has reached a point where decisions have to be made, a source indicated to Noles247 on Wednesday evening.

Specifically, it was suggested that the University has grown tired of the unknown with regards to Fisher’s future status in Tallahassee and the dangling of an offer from Texas A&M over their head.

There is also a strong belief within the hierarchy at FSU that Fisher is likely to accept the Texas A&M offer at this time and depart for College Station after eight seasons as FSU’s head coach.

With that in mind, some form of an announcement from Florida State University about the future of their football head coaching position is being discussed for some point on Thursday.

Fisher, who at this time is set to speak with the media on Thursday evening, also potentially could comment on his status, something he has been unwilling to do over the past week.

Texas A&M, which has a regents meeting scheduled for Thursday, could also be prepared to make a more formal announcement regarding the future direction of its football program. The future of the football program is on the agenda for the meeting, including discussion of issues relating to the appointment of a new head football coach. More details on that meeting can be found here. It remains unknown if Fisher has formally agreed to accept the vacant head coaching position. To our knowledge, no formal agreement has been entered.

FSU has been preparing for this possibility over the past several days and that includes putting out feelers regarding potential future head coaches. As previously reported, Oregon’s Willie Taggart is currently considered the top option being discussed as a potential replacement if Fisher indeed accepts the offer from the Aggies.

Contractually, Jimbo has the upper hand. If he doesn't quit, FSU would have to fire him to keep him from coaching Saturday, and that would put Jimbo's buyout in play. FSU could counter that Jimbo has violated the provision in his contract which bars him from negotiating with another school, but a lawsuit over this would be the last thing FSU would want.

So, I think it comes down to whether the FSU president, who gets along with Fisher, can persuade Jimbo that his desire to finish the season out, and avoid his first losing season, isn't worth the blowback he, and the team, will get from the fans. I can understand Fisher wanting to finish out, and thinking last week that this might be doable, but given the way things have played out, it's time to move on.
