MSU AD is textbook example of how to handle a coaching change

He anticipated the change long before it happened, he clearly had already identified and some prospects who could and would come to Starkville, and he made a solid hire.
Take note UT and A&M... That's how you do it. It doesn't have to be a trainwreck.

Lots of man on man stuff?

What makes it worse is Currie knew he was going to fire Butch, so he had a headstart and still messed it up.

Relative to their resources, I think Mississippi State might be the best run AD in the entire conference.

I agree with this so much. I wish LSU would take notes...or poach their AD...

It would have been a lot cleaner if FSU didn't have a rescheduled game. This extra week has made it a bit more messy but nowhere near the UT debacle.

I know this. No decent AD in the country would go on Paul Finebaum and give his coach an ultimatum prior to the season starting. That was bush-League and tells me all I need to know about how A&M runs their program. All that money and y’all don’t have shite to show for it. Your athletic department is amateur at best

Lol, yeah JOHN COHEN would go to LSU

Agreed. Good job by AD, had a plan and executed it.

First he would make 38 pitching changes.

I know with a months of prep time you still have shite to show for it, that is the point.

You going to eat crow thursday or sunday when A&M announces Fisher?
I doubt it.

Unless Jimbo brings a woman rapist crab leg stealer with him I doubt much changes. He will become disinterested on the bus ride to fish camp so he can be indoctrinated into all your traditions.

Got it, you were just talking out of your arse. Par for the course for a state fan.

Theyre so well ran I bet their Athletic Director has a contingency plan for when their Athletic Director leaves.

I think that would be tough. I know, I know Stricklin and Mullen. Cohen played college ball, coached, and quit coaching to take the AD job. I believe vthis guy loves State. Plus, I think Louisiana government officials loves Alleva. Alleva is a yes man.
