SEC as a whole was rolling when Urban was there. LSU, Bama, UF, even Arkansas, UGA were all solid programs and beating each other regularly. Urban was elite when the SEC was by far the best football conference.
Jimbo is a good coach, but he's not even close to Urban.

Jimbo would be a very solid hire by A&M. However, nobody is going to be "scared" of Jimbo at A&M.

Before expansion, A&M was just a midlevel Big 12 team. We came in here with a crappy coach and a freshmen QB and tied for second in the West, in our first year in the conference.
